Please allow the option to change a model’s units along with the measurement units.
If it is only the difference between meter and millimeter it is not that big of an issue. But the last couple of days I had some models in imperial and that is just unworkable!
I believe the origin of those models are all RVT exports out of Inventor, which does make sense that they would be imperial. I could open them in Revit first to change the units before importing into Qonic. But that is very time consuming, certainly when I only find out after having done some corrections in Qonic already…
When it comes to display/measurement units in the viewer, they change with the active model. So I can agree with that and it certainly is not as much of a priority to me to make those independent. But at a certain point in time, it would be nice if that could be a user preference. For example many Architects (and probably contractors as well) in Belgium are using cm by default. I have a preference for mm and a surveyor will likely prefer m. We can all read those units but sometimes it can be a bit confusing when making a measurement for something that we don’t know the size of if “5000” is in mm (thus 5m) or in cm (thus 50m).
