# Qonic September Release Notes 2026

This month, we turned our attention to the toolbar. As Qonic’s feature set has grown, we rebuilt the way you find and use your tools, grouping everything by what you’re trying to do rather than by when it happened to ship. Alongside that, Planning gets faster to navigate, Components pick up a couple of practical additions, and Revit files get a refreshed export experience.

## New Capabilities

**1. A new Toolbar for a growing Qonic**

The central toolbar has been reorganised around what you’re trying to do, rather than around when a tool happened to ship.

- Selection and Navigate are now separate modes, each with their own hover feedback and behaviour, and Pan gets its own dedicated mode instead of living behind a shortcut.
- Creation tools are grouped into 2D Primitives, 3D Primitives, and 3D Creation, while edit tools sit together under Transform, Mirror & Align, Boolean tools, and Push/Pull.
- Layers get a section of their own, Measure sits close to quality checks like IDS validation and clash detection, and every tool now carries its own icon so the whole bar reads at a glance.
- Each group also remembers the last tool you used within it, so repeating an action is one click away.

**2. Automatic export of linked models from Revit**

When exporting a project from Revit, you can now enable a toggle that automatically finds and adds every linked model in that project. Add tags if needed, then export: each linked model comes across to Qonic as its own separate model, ready to open together in a single session. Useful for any project split across multiple linked Revit models, where each one previously had to be exported by hand.

**3. Batch export via File Picker**

Alongside that, a new batch export option lets you pick any set of models straight from your file explorer, whether or not they’re linked, and export them all to Qonic together in one go. Useful whenever you need to bring several models into Qonic at once without exporting them one by one.

## Feature Additions

**Planning**

- **Resizable task rows:** The task rows area in Planning can now be resized, giving more room to work with longer task lists.
- **Scope locked on pause:** Pausing Planning now keeps the scope set to its current state, rather than shifting as the model changes.
- **Jump to first task:** A quicker way to navigate straight to the first task in a plan.
- **Multi-select and move in preset planning:** Select and move multiple items at once when creating a planning by preset.
- **Draggable tasks:** Tasks in Planning can now be dragged directly, rather than requiring a separate re-ordering action.
- **Updated export format:** The Planning export format has been adjusted.

**Components**

- **Deletion notifications:** Clients are now notified when a component they’re using is deleted.
- **Insert in host:** Components can now be inserted directly into a host element.

**Selection**

- **Cancel box selection:** An in-progress box selection can now be cancelled with Escape.

That’s the shape of September’s release and what Qonic keeps getting better at: building, checking, and coordinating a model in one place, without switching tools to get there. Try it out on a real project.

We’ve got more in the works for next month, so stay tuned!
