Many colleagues already have complained about:
- Loading time of a model
- having to wait when making a selection
- …
Those are colleagues using a normal windows 11 laptop with 16GB RAM and no discrete GPU. I know that those specs are not enormous, but they are not using Revit or other very demanding applications. They expect Qonic to simply work.
If calculations take a bit longer, that is no issue. But having a lagging model environment doesn’t make them happy to use Qonic.
I have done a quick test on an older desktop at home (running windows 10 on a 5-7 year old intel i5). Qonic works perfectly smooth on this machine. But it has 32GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card…
I’ll try to do a test on an another office laptop with 32GB of RAM and no dedicated GPU tomorrow. That should give a good indication which of the both possible causes is the most likely cause.
Hi Johan,
Sufficient RAM and a dedicated GPU are recommended, but any ‘modern’ laptop or desktop pc should suffice to run Qonic in a smooth way. We will investigate this further.
