Please provide some tools to manipulate the elevation of ‘horizontal’ objects like slab/roof/…
We often deal with relatively complex concrete slabs that have a lot of slopes in different directions. Current method is using Revit with “add points” and “Modify sub elements”. It works quite well as long as the bottom of the slab either:
- Follows the top: constant thickness of the slab
- Stays horizontal: variable thickness of the slab
There is nothing in between. So no possibility to have the top and bottom of the slab follow different slopes (except by adding an additional element at the bottom and using join/cut to remove that part of geometry from the bottom of the slab). But it works well enough.
In Qonic we don’t have any options for this right now. And that makes it difficult to:
- Model roofs correctly. As long as it is a single slope, there are some possibilities with transform and deep select to rotate a face. But it isn’t ideal. It also only allows definition in angles (degrees) and not in slope (percentage or pitch)
- Make (small) changes to paving/terrain models where the slope is going toward a point and not a line
- …
I think the sketch lines tool already provides a base for definition of slope or break lines (similar to add points or add lines in Revit’s “Modify sub elements” tool). But it lacks the option to actually change the elevation value of these lines/points.
