Qonic February Release Notes
This month marks a new beginning. We’re giving you the freedom to start fresh without imports. We’ve also refined the interface to keep your hands on the tools and less on the menus. Whether you’re sketching your first wall or fine-tuning a complex model, everything is designed to feel more direct and responsive.

Create new models from scratch
You can now create brand new models directly in Qonic. Each new model comes with a surveying setup on a tripod to help you orient yourself and easily locate the local origin. This is the foundation you need to go from concept to construction without leaving the platform.
Sketch Grid
We’ve added an adaptive sketch grid to the XY-plane that gives you a clear sense of scale and direction while modelling. The grid automatically adjusts its intervals as you zoom in or out, and supports snapping during modelling operations. Toggle it on or off anytime via the Sketch Grid button in the bottom toolbar.
Redesigned User Interface
To minimise mouse travel and speed up your workflow, we’ve restructured the interface. The action toolbar has moved to the bottom of the screen, putting your most-used tools within easy reach. We’ve added a quick snapping toggle for faster access, and relocated view settings and toggles to the right-hand side. The result? Less hunting, more modelling.
Deep Select improvements
Working in Deep Select mode is now clearer and more responsive. We’ve added a UI button for easy switching between boundary and face selection modes. We also removed the dark background change that used to happen in Deep Select mode, so your view stays consistent and you can focus on the geometry, not the interface.
