Qonic June Release Notes 2026
This month, we’re introducing a major design overhaul to the Qonic interface. A clean, focused release with a lot of detail work underneath the surface that makes the whole platform feel sharper.

New Capabilities
1. New dashboard design
We have redesigned the main dashboard layout to maximize visual scanning speed and improve project discovery.
2. Right-click menu
To minimize mouse travel and maintain user focus on the model, we have introduced a native right-click context menu. This grants instantaneous access to core visibility and analytical shortcuts, such as Scope and Section, directly at the cursor location.
3. Select Same Tool
This tool eliminates the manual overhead of repetitive selections by allowing you to batch-select elements instantly based on shared parameters. With a single click, you can isolate all elements matching specific criteria, including identical geometry, material definitions, IFC classes, spatial locations, or assembly structures.
4. Section hatches
Section hatches now make it clearly visible how different material layers sit within complex geometry as you cut through a model. The result reads cleanly in the 3D view, the kind of legibility that matters when reviewing with a contractor or sharing views with a client.
Feature Additions
Data and workflow
-
Discard Changes in Personal bucket: Models in your Personal bucket now have a Discard Changes option in the context menu, giving you a clean way to step back to the last saved state without navigating away.
-
Open and update multiple drawings: You can now open and update several drawings at once, rather than one at a time. Saves meaningful time on any project with an active drawing set.
-
Shared data permissions: Project members can now modify shared data if they have edit access to at least one model in the project. A permission model that reflects how teams actually work across a federated set.
-
Contributor plan in upgrade path: The Contributor plan is now included in the feature upgrade flow, so contributors see the right options when upgrading to access additional features.
Drawings
-
Drawing shortcuts: The remaining keyboard shortcuts for drawings are now in place, covering the full set of drawing actions.
-
Collapse and expand in drawing generation: The drawing generation dialogue now has collapse and expand controls, making it easier to manage when working with a large number of layers or options.
Platform
Public API: Model GUID, Batch endpoints, Product profile endpoint
Core Stability
A thorough round of fixes this month, with a significant number tied to the new dashboard design as it landed across the full platform.
Publishing & Collaboration
-
Publishing shared data modifications now works reliably for all project members with the appropriate access.
-
Model Picker: unlocking and setting the active model works correctly in all cases.
-
Version timeline now shows the correct conflict status indicator.
-
Processing state is shown correctly when uploading a revision in the versions panel.
Drawings
-
Navigation from the top bar to drawings works correctly.
-
Escape key correctly updates the drawings toolbar.
-
IFC rooms are correctly excluded from drawing generation when disabled.
-
Hatch names no longer overflow in the drawing generation config.
-
Font size in imperial drawings is correct.
-
DWG export correctly shows the download state.
Modelling & Transform
-
Move: the manipulator no longer re-drops unexpectedly during product snapping.
-
Distance Tool: crash on multi-select is resolved.
-
Compare: surface compare and curve compare issues resolved.
-
Section: the “no section selected” error is resolved.
-
Copy Details: multi-model copy details shows correct results, with accurate cached previews.
Stability & Workflow
-
Planning: returning to the planning list while playing now stops the background player correctly.
-
BCF: import crash caused by comments without a viewpoint is resolved.
-
Product Finder: material selection into layers works correctly.
-
Authentication: logout reliably revokes the token and terminates the session.

Project deletion: delete dialogue closes cleanly and stale cache is cleared.
-
Token refresh now happens correctly on every request where needed.
-
Filter tags, dropdown labels, and placeholder text colours are all aligned with the updated design.
A big month. The dashboard redesign is the most visible change, but the work runs deeper: a platform that feels more considered at every layer. The new Qonic release is officially live, packed with features inspired directly by your real-world project feedback.
