Please improve the revision updating process.

Currently we have to select models one by one, then do the following:

  • Go to revisions
  • Click “upload new revision”
  • Drag the new file into the browser (or use the file picker)

What I would prefer and is supported by most CDE/DMS:

  • Drag all files into the dashboard
  • Qonic recognizes by name the models that already exist and clearly indicates this is a revision increase
  • Manual options to either create new file (when name is identical, best rename) or to add a file as a revision to an existing model (source file has different name => rename, similar to Bricsys 24/7)

Some additional things, not exactly related to revisions but to file uploads in general:

  • In the normal “dashboard” view, when dragging a file from windows explorer, highlight the area where the file may be dropped (and maybe even expand that area to the full browser screen, including the side bars.

  • When first clicking the “+” button, this small window appears:

    Increase the area where the file may be dropped to at least the entire white window. But preferably the entire browser window. Now we have to drop it in between the dashed lines …

  • Similar for the upload of revisions, maybe already allow us to drag the new file to the “revisions” window when that is open. That at least takes away one click to open the next little window …
