Data Management

  • Types: Effortlessly edit types directly within the Libraries panel, complete with the ability to assign materials and codes.
  • Type Properties: Improved handling of type properties in the Command Center, Browse, and Inspect panels.
  • Materials: You can now select a category when creating a new material.
  • Codification Panel: The Codification Panel now allows for the creation of new codes and editing of existing codes, streamlining data organization.
  • Range Filter: Enhance search precision with a newly added range filter for shared queries.

Accurate Quantities

  • Laser Measure: Inspired by the tools used on-site, our new laser measuring tool lets you quickly capture dimensions with precision and ease.
  • Area Calculators: Improved area calculations now detect features for more accurate net and gross area measurements.
  • Report Panel:
    • Save and export reports directly to the dashboard.
    • Preview quantities visually in the model from the Report panel.
    • Update calculators for multiple items at once.
    • Added right-click support for individual actions.

Modeling

  • Deep Selection Mode: The new Deep Selection mode lets you select faces, edges, and bodies for direct manipulation of (hidden) geometry.
  • Cylinder Tool: The Cylinder Tool is now available, enabling easy cylinder creation. It also includes axis snapping for enhanced precision during the modeling process.
  • Non-Planar Alignments: Align faces to non-planar surfaces, expanding alignment capabilities.
  • Move:
    • The move tool now supports free placement on the XY plane in empty space, offering greater flexibility.
    • Windows and doors stay connected to walls during move operations, ensuring architectural consistency.
  • Snapping: Improved snapping capabilities enhance interaction with linear elements.

Platform & User Interface

  • Reduced Memory on Import: Optimized memory usage for smoother performance with large models.
  • Toolbar Updates: Key tools like push/pull and move are now foregrounded for easier access.
  • Manipulator Adjustments: Manipulator size is optimized for use on smaller screens.
  • Data Editor Role: A dedicated “Data Editor” role has been introduced to enhance data-only editing workflows. Additionally, the original “Editor” role has been renamed to “Modeler” for greater clarity and consistency.
  • Inspect Panel Click-Through: Added the ability to click through from the Inspect panel directly to the corresponding library item.
  • Updated Dashboard Interface: A redesigned user interface offers a more intuitive experience, featuring:
    • Action Menu: Quick access to essential tools and options.
    • Top Bar Search: A new search function for easier navigation.
    • Lists: Double-click list items for improved usability.
    • Reports: A new reports page where you’ll find all your exported reports.
  • Auto Updater: The desktop application now has automatic update capabilities, so you don’t need to reinstall Qonic manually with each new release.

Public API

  • Updated API Endpoints: Public API endpoint names have been updated for consistency in extending project data.

Fixes

Inspect Panel

  • The Inspect panel now correctly updates when the selection is cleared while the panel is closed.
  • Resolved crashes in the Inspect panel caused by invalid float conversions.

Browse Panel

  • Resolved an issue where the Browse panel grouping did not display opening elements.
  • Resolved issues with the “Save As” option in the Browse panel.
  • Resolved a crash that occurred during heavy searches in the Browse panel.
  • Ensured that the selection in the Browse panel is maintained, even when the selection in the model changes.

Report Panel

  • Resolved crashes in the Report panel during interrupted dimension updates.
  • Properties are now only added when the Report panel is fully displayed.

Other Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where the Browse and Report panels were not resetting when opening a new model.
  • Fixed memory issues leading to disappearing meshes through improved deduplication.
  • Fixed navigation bugs, including selection persistence when switching models.
  • Resolved an issue where selections were not correctly cleared when pressing ESC or using the “Clear Selection” button.
  • Resolved an issue where the logout button in the app was non-functional.
  • Fixed bugs in grouped classification codes and display of classification elements.
  • Improved export functionality for project data in IFC format.
  • Resolved reference property handling crashes in the Command Center.
  • Fixed volume calculator issues for more reliable quantity outputs.
  • Corrected functionality for aggregated products in the calculators.
  • The “Add Property Set” button is now visible in the Qonic properties library.
  • IFC export now uses the latest public version for consistency.
  • Improved Project Details: Resolved issues with roles, model selection, user counts, and members.
  • Enhanced Selection Behavior: Improved selection behavior on the dashboard aligned with file explorer functionality.
  • Reports: Model names are now truncated properly to maintain clarity.
